Staying at Gaia Guest House was such a treat. The spacious one-bedroom house felt like a home, complete with a big kitchen and comfy living area. I loved the breakfast on the rooftop patio. it was a relaxing start to every day. The location is perfect—just a quick 10-minute walk to the heart of San Cristobal, making it easy to explore the town on foot. Each room had plenty of storage space and a comfortable bed that ensured a good night's sleep. Angelina, the housekeeper, was delightful and kept everything spotless. It would be nice if the property had more kitchen gadgets for cooking. I did notice some slow Wi-Fi in my room sometimes, which was a bit of a hassle. But overall, the experience felt cozy and welcoming, truly a home away from home.

During my stay, consider borrowing a chair from the common area if your room lacks one—it made working much more comfortable.

Balcony access from my room offered a nice spot for evening relaxation. Comfortable bed made for a pleasant night's sleep.
Lacked an actual kitchen for cooking, only a fridge and microwave available with no sink for washing food. Garden and common areas felt underutilized as social spaces, especially for solo travelers. Only met one other guest during my stay, making it hard to connect with anyone.

The shared kitchen area was well-stocked with essentials and had refreshing breakfast options like fruit and cereal. The best part was the peaceful environment that allowed for a good night's sleep, but I did notice the Wi-Fi was a bit slow in the room at times.
